Yesterday, between siestas, I did laundry and hauled down the trash and recycling (which I didn’t have the energy to do Monday). Early this morning, I texted Merchi to cancel her day here. San Geraldo wasn’t feeling up to going out for coffee. I’m not the picture of health, but I thought I could have managed. I then went back to bed and slept until noon. Maybe I’ll pick up some Covid tests today. At least so we know.
We ordered our new terrace furniture. I hope it gets here quickly. We’ll give away our current furniture which is in excellent condition. We were considering L-shaped seating or a loveseat and two chairs plus a low table, but decided we don’t have a lot of use for all that and it would fill up the small terrace. Our current four-seat table and chairs fit for good seating, but leave little room to walk around. So we ordered two cool-looking and comfy (I hope) chairs and a small table. Oh, yeah, we also bought a narrow free-standing garden shelving unit for the wall.
I’d love to visit some more of the patios of Córdoba before the weekend when there’s too much competition for space. We’ll see. The event ends Sunday, so it’s sure to be a crazy weekend which I’ll avoid. But, I’m not quite sure I have the energy for the patios right now.
Córdoba’s annual fair begins 24 May and runs for a week. We’ll have to experience the craziness (and beauty) at least once. It’s south of the city center, more than a 20-minute walk to the river and then another 20 minutes south of there. Meanwhile, here are more views of recent explorations in this fabulous city.
Ayer, entre siestas, lavé la ropa y bajé la basura y el reciclaje (cosa que no tuve energía el lunes). Esta mañana temprano, le escribí a Merchi para que cancelara su visita. San Geraldo no tenía ganas de salir a tomar un café. No soy la viva imagen de la salud, pero pensé que podría haberlo logrado. Luego volví a la cama y dormí hasta a las doce. Quizás me haga algunas pruebas de COVID hoy. Al menos eso sepamos.
Pedimos nuestros nuevos muebles de terraza. Espero que lleguen pronto. Regalaremos nuestros muebles actuales, que están en excelentes condiciones. Estábamos considerando unos asientos en forma de L o un sofá de dos plazas, dos sillas y una mesa baja, pero decidimos que no les daríamos mucho uso y que llenarían la pequeña terraza. Nuestra mesa y sillas actuales para cuatro personas sirven para sentarse bien, pero dejan poco espacio para caminar. Así que pedimos dos sillas bonitas y cómodas (espero) y una mesa pequeña. Ah, sí, también compramos una estantería de jardín estrecha e independiente para la pared.
Me encantaría visitar más patios de Córdoba antes del fin de semana, cuando hay mucha competencia por el espacio. Ya veremos. El evento termina el domingo, así que seguro que será un fin de semana de locura que evitaré. Pero no estoy muy segura de tener energías para ir a los patios ahora mismo.
La feria anual de Córdoba comienza el 24 de mayo y dura una semana. Tendremos que vivir su locura (y belleza) al menos una vez. Está al sur del centro de la ciudad, a más de 20 minutos a pie del río y luego otros 20 minutos al sur. Mientras tanto, aquí tienen más vistas de las exploraciones recientes en esta fabulosa ciudad.
