The plumber was here yesterday morning to check out the bathroom ceiling tile where there was a leak the last time it rained. I then had to take him up to the roof. A nice guy, but this routine has gotten old. We went through this twice last year, several visits each time.
My stomach was no better yesterday than the day before. On top of that, I had major dizzies just while sitting and trying to eat breakfast. I rescheduled the appointment with the dentist, took pills for the stomach and for the dizzies, and went back to bed. The day pretty much sucked. After a second round of pills for the stomach, it was fine. The dizzies were also better after just one pill. The barometric pressure was high yesterday and that is clearly a problem for me. So it’s at least a relief that if I take a pill when needed, I’m OK again. It’s high again today, my left ear is already clogged (always a sign), so another pill is coming.
The inspector from the building’s insurance company phoned yesterday to schedule a video call so I could show him the problem. He was pleasant, but I wasn’t thrilled. This morning, we connected, I showed him the spots in the ceiling, pushed up the tile to show him inside, and that was it. I was relieved he didn’t want me to “take him” up to the roof. He also clearly understood, unlike anyone involved last year, that the problem is a broader rooftop problem and not simply a spot directly above the bathroom.
So it looks like the minor annoyances are done. All I have to look forward to now is a chat with an old friend from Boston in the evening. Yesterday ended well, too, with a chat with dear Judy C in St. Louis. That always makes everything all better.
Time now for laundry. Once I know it’s safe for me to leave the house, I’m going for a walk. Also, after these last two days, I’m desperately in need of a workout. Today’s photos are examples of some terraces and overhangs with decorative underwear.
