I CLEANED UP THE SECOND aloe vera planter in the hallway. They all look so happy. It’s a good thing they come with their own healing balm. I needed it. (I wore a long-sleeved shirt.) Last time, I placed several plants in a pot for Kathleen and Pedro. I’ll let them figure out where to put those before I give them more. So, sadly, Monday’s trimmings went in the trash.

On my way home from the gym Monday, I passed by my favorite nearby flower kiosk and I saw they had a lot of new orchids. One came home with me.

I spoke with The Kid Brother last night. He hadn’t actually started the new job last Wednesday. He was simply introduced to the new place. He will supposedly have his first day of work today. He was a bit down, telling me “it’s small.” The place, unlike his former huge Rite Aid, has a parking lot. Rite Aid got him the job, which I find admirable. It might be another drug store… I think. He refuses to tell the office that manages his apartment that the Rite Aid closed and he has a new job. He doesn’t think any more of the current office staff than I do. Normally I would step in, but I have to think of how it all would work if I weren’t around. It was an exhausting conversation, but it turned around when we talked about football and the fact that he went bowling on his own on Saturday. 146 and 167! He was rightfully pleased. I’ll have to start a spreadsheet for the new season.

Nutrition and fitness report:
I stretched three times Monday and four times Tuesday. Once, so far today. I can actually stretch without crying now. Well, I never really cried, but I sounded like I was. Monday’s back and arms workout felt great. Didn’t do the new sciatica exercise yet, but I continue to do all the old ones. I walked 6.5 km / 4 miles Tuesday. I’m back in a couple of size 32 pairs of shorts. The Levi’s aren’t far behind. I’m off to the gym. No sweets, except San Geraldo.

LIMPIÉ LA SEGUNDA MACETA DE aloe vera en el pasillo. Todos lucen tan felices. Es bueno que vengan con su propio bálsamo curativo. Lo necesitaba. (Me puse una camisa de manga larga). La última vez, coloqué varias plantas en una maceta para Kathleen y Pedro. Dejaré que averigüen dónde ponerlos antes de darles más. Entonces, lamentablemente, los recortes del lunes fueron a la basura.

De camino a casa desde el gimnasio el lunes, pasé por mi quiosco de flores cercano favorito y vi que tenían muchas orquídeas nuevas. Uno vino a casa conmigo.

Hablé con El Hermanito anoche. En realidad, no había comenzado el nuevo trabajo el miércoles pasado. Simplemente le presentaron el nuevo lugar. Supuestamente hoy tendrá su primer día de trabajo. Estaba un poco deprimido, diciéndome “es pequeño.” El lugar, a diferencia de su antiguo gran Rite Aid, tiene estacionamiento. Rite Aid le consiguió el trabajo, que encuentro admirable. Podría ser otra farmacia … creo. Se niega a decirle a la oficina que administra su apartamento que el Rite Aid cerró y que tiene un nuevo trabajo. Él no piensa más en el personal de la oficina actual que yo. Normalmente intervendría, pero tengo que pensar en cómo funcionaría todo si no estuviera presente. Fue una conversación agotadora, pero cambió cuando hablamos de fútbol y el hecho de que el sábado fuera a jugar a los bolos solo. 146 y 167! Estaba legítimamente complacido.
