Pharmacy kills / Farmacia mata

La versión en español está después de la versión en inglés.

If your last name is Mata, I wouldn’t recommend it as a business name in most situations. There’s a Farmacia Mata on Calle Marques de Larios in Málaga. That means Pharmacy Kills. I assume it’s a family name. Then again, maybe they’re the same people who brought us the fitness club in Fuengirola, People Di (see below). After that, the cats and a couple of other items of interest.

We don’t have a coffee maker at home with a milk steamer for me to make café con leche. And, no, I’m not going to heat up the milk on the stove. Making coffee in a machine is quite enough “cooking” for me. When I told San Geraldo I would buy a coffee maker with a steamer attachment, he said I shouldn’t buy one because going out for coffee forces him to be social. However, we now usually only go out for coffee one day a week (when Isabel is here to clean). SG drinks instant coffee at home most mornings. Blech. Blech. Blech. I have tea with milk, which I cook myself.

SG was supposed to go grocery shopping Monday (after not going Saturday) and he’s now out of instant coffee. So we had to go to Mesón Salvador this morning. We showered and everything. We even had second breakfast while there and it was so late that it doubled as lunch. SG’s on his way to the supermarket now.

.

• I know I had a reason for taking this picture. I just can’t remember what it was. I was about to go shoe shopping. That’s it! It was the sneakers. I wanted to find a pair that came with a body like that. Yes, definitely the sneakers.

    1. Wicked Hamster:
I found a similar pair but they weren’t attached to anything. So, I packed up and shipped the originals. It’s a very large box.

      1. Mistress Borghese:
The shorts would have given me an easy alibi for snapping the photo.

  1. That guy looks like he’s sampled the “Depilación Láser” at People Di.

Dudo and Moose look so cozy together, even with Moose shifted to the side.

    1. Steve:
You’re so right. At first I thought “severely waxed and polished” but I don’t think waxing would give such a smooth finish. Should we worn him that People Di.

  2. Moose’s early morning mid-lick photo looks like he might agree with your purchase of a coffee machine with a steamer attachment. Raaawwwllll.

  3. Sneakers my foot! That may be the best eye candy you’ve ever featured…. and I do mean eye candy, sweet Jesus Joseph and Mary. I mean that’s House Point material right there

And I would agree with San Geraldo. I have a slow drip coffee pot here, but going out for coffee and the social aspect is great. It’s one reason I never bought a coffee maker.

And can you blame Moose about being annoyed? The camera makes them look twice his size .. the poor thing. It is a pretty funny picture though.

    1. Mistress Borghese:
There’s a lot of that kind of candy to be seen around here. And I’m diabetic! Anyway, I liked his shorts, too. I agreed with San Geraldo except that we rarely go out for coffee now. It used to be 7 days a week. Now it’s usually one — and this week two (unless friends are visiting). Moose gets annoyed whenever I pull out the camera. I wouldn’t forgive if someone got me in a pose like that (for pictures).

  4. I bet you see lots of eye-candy like that since you live beach front. Personally, I’m drawn to your kitties. 😉

    1. Kelly:
I do see usually at least a couple of those on my walks. It can be very depressing. Give me Moose and Dudo any day.

  5. I love Dudo squeezing Moose out! I mean, not literally. And that look on Moose’s face is how I felt this morning … mid-clean.
Lastly, those are some nice …. shoes?

    1. Bob:
Aren’t those nice shoes. That look would only have been improved with plaid shorts and shirt (the shirt carried, of course). Dudo can be such a pill. Sometimes they’ll snuggle happily but they can both be very territorial.

  6. The shoes YES ! it was the shoes you and now we are looking at such wonderful shoes !
KITTIES ! new photo of Ciro coming soon !

    1. Anon:
I should have asked the guy how to get a pair of those shoes… and him.

    1. Sassybear:
You got me. It was the shorts really. I love the cut. I let husband do whatever he wants. It’s not his fault he has no taste. He grew up in South Dakota.

    1. Debra:
There must be something wrong with my camera lens. The focus is much higher than it should be.

  7. Awwww, poor Moose! What’s a cat gotta do to get a little privacy for his morning toilette?

    1. Tundrabunny:
What’s a cat gotta do? Be quiet so we can sleep. I told him as long as he continues to wake us up to clean his litter box and give him food, I’m going to share embarrassing pictures.
