Life goes on in Fuengirola. Today we had the pleasure of meeting Luke and Beckett (and their parents, Pedro and Kathleen) at a chiringuito (beach bar) across the street. The boys played on the beach while we sat and visited before and after the meal. We haven’t seen each other in months, so it was a true pleasure. I hope to get out for a good (everything is relative) walk Monday. It’s long overdue. My healthy lunch was delicious, and I got to indulge in a couple of spoonfuls of San Geraldo’s dessert. This evening we get to FaceTime with our nephew and niece-in-law, Matt and Lindy. So it’s going to be a beautiful day all told.

Fantastique!
Hey, I just saw a post by someone who teaches French, that there is a Centre Pompidou museum (branch? would we say that?) in Málaga. I had no idea!
So happy to see you enjoying wonderful friends, wonderful meals, the sunshine… as it should be.
Judy C
Judy C:
Search Pompidou on my blog and you’ll find a post from every one of my visits. It’s exceptional!
Ah, things are heading back to normality, it seems – sunshine, good friends, and an air of calm… Good to hear. Jx
Jon:
It’s all coming back to me now…
Boud here. What a great place you do live in! Nothing more to want. It’s good even to read about, never mind actually live. Go you. And all the boys of all species!
Boud:
It is a beautiful place to live!
I’ll pass on the monkfish…but those desserts I’ll take!!!!!!
I can’t believe how big those boys are getting already.
Mistress Borghese:
Monkfish has become my favorite. One of the ugliest fish you’ll ever see, but delicious. We, too, were stunned to see the boys after a number of months.
Now that fish looks inviting!
Loving all the familiar sounds and sights…….things getting better all the time.
Jim:
Monkfish is delicious and my favorite. I never had it until we moved to Spain.
What a relief it must be to get back to a sense of normalcy in your life! ENJOY!
Debra:
It sure is a relief.
Looks like a practically perfect day!
I don’t think I’ve ever had monkfish. I wonder if it can even be caught in our waters here. I’ll have to look that up.
The camera loves your cats and that’s all there is to it.
P.S. That was me, Ms. Moon, the old and forgetful.
MsMoon:
I just read that monkfish can be found in Florida but are primarily north of Cape Hatteras. I had never had it until we moved to Spain and it’s now my favorite fish and maybe the ugliest fish I’ve ever seen: https://movingwithmitchell.com/2022/12/22/ginger-catfish-smurf-ski-jengibre-bagre-pitufo-esquia/
Oh my god. That IS the ugliest fish ever. I’m not sure I could eat any now, having seen that picture.
Ms. Moon:
It is truly my favorite fish. I don’t think about what it looked like before. The multiple layers of razor sharp teeth are deadly. So, we have it cleaned and cut at the fish market and bring home beautiful pieces of fish.
Those boys are growing like weeds – they do that don’t they? The cats look content to have things back to normal in their household – as are we. Glad to see you are on the mend – take it easy please.
That’s me – Willym. I’m not sure why it shows Anon.
Willym:
We hadn’t seen the boys in several months and were shocked by how much they’d changed. Yes, the cats are very content.
Moose is a ball of fur, while Dudo is a pretzel of fur.
Bob:
Exactly.
Dudo is so hilarious.
Steve:
He’s a lover!
So tropical-looking where you are. But of course Spain’s not really the tropics. Can I assume, as is the case with Florida, that the palm trees aren’t native.
Kirk,
One or two palms are native to Spain. The rest were imports beginning in the 10th century.
With moves like these, Dudo should have his own yoga show,LOL!
Tundra Bunny,
Oh to be able to move like that!
I always gladdens me to see good eats and crazy cats on your blog posts.
Urspo,
I’ve got them aplenty.
It is good to read that things are returning to the general routine of your life before your recent hospitalization. I always say “normal” is a good thing!
Michael,
I’ve never been one for “normal” but mostly uneventful is a very good thing right now!
Ice cream with the kids or anybody would suit me perfect right now.
Ron,
Come on over. I’ll arrange it!
So wonderful to read you are back to life as it is meant to be. Enjoy your return to good health, my friend!
Sassybear:
I’m working on it.
