YESTERDAY EVENING, MY DRIVING INSTRUCTOR confirmed what I already assumed. The cretin examiner failed me. I’m annoyed. I’m disappointed. But I’m not devastated. I know I’m a good driver and I know I drove well yesterday. I’ve always heard a big part of passing the exam here is the luck of the draw when it comes to the examiner you get. San Geraldo’s was charming, personable, and knew his instructor. My driving instructor said I’m obviously an excellent driver and did well (thank you, thank you) and shouldn’t be concerned.
The school will try and schedule another exam for me for next week (for which privilege, of course, I’ll have to make another payment to the department of motor vehicles). What a racket.
Anyway… and this is a big anyway: I’m done talking about this. I’ll let you know when I’ve again got a drivers license so you’ll know to stay off the streets. Meanwhile, enjoy today’s beautiful views.

AYER POR LA TARDE, MI instructor de conducción confirmó lo que ya asumí. La examinadora cretina me falló. Estoy molesto. Estoy decepcionado. Pero no estoy devastado. Sé que soy un buen piloto y sé que conduje bien ayer. Siempre he escuchado que una gran parte de aprobar el examen aquí es la suerte del sorteo cuando se trata del examinador que obtienes. San Geraldo’s era encantador, agradable y conocía a su instructor. Mi instructor de manejo dijo que obviamente soy un excelente conductor y lo hice bien (gracias, gracias) y que no debería preocuparme.
La escuela intentará programarme otro examen para la próxima semana (que, por supuesto, tendré que pagar al Dirección General de Tráfico por el privilegio). ¡Qué estafa!
De todos modos … y este es un gran de todos modos: He terminado de hablar de esto. Te avisaré cuando vuelva a obtener una licencia de conducir para que sepas debes alejarte de las calles. Mientras tanto, disfruta de las hermosas vistas de hoy.
