I THOUGHT LAST NIGHT OF buying a tall narrow artificial tree for the terrace and decorating it for Christmas. A trial run with the cats. At least they wouldn’t have free reign while we slept. Kind of late in the season, but Christmas does run until Three Kings Day here. Then again, I’d have to get in the car and I haven’t done much of anything for several days now. Given my desire to avoid crowds, I haven’t been into Málaga this year to see the wondrous lights. So, I walked around Fuengirola one evening last week and enjoyed our city’s decorations. The photo at top is of the Christmas market on Plaza de la Constitución.
I’m still a bit too sneezy and clogged to feel comfortable working out at the gym, especially masked. However, I need to do something today. Maybe a short walk. Maybe shopping for that tree.
I’ve completed Chapter 12 of the semi-final corrections of San Geraldo’s book. He’ll have one last look. He’s almost finished with his pass (after mine) at the third volume of proofs (quarter-finals?), chapters 13–17. So, I’ll be busy again.
The glass curtain guys were here this morning to see what needs to be done. They’ll be back tomorrow to re-cement the entire aluminum flange. It was coming up along most of its length. Five years of sun, wind, sand, and salt.
I learned last night that England shortened the wait time between the second Astra Zeneca shot and the booster shot, from 6 months to 3 months. I haven’t heard that here, but I’m going to check with Public Health today. Otherwise, I have to wait until late January for my booster, which makes me a bit stressed. And that’s all I’ve got to say about that. I’m at least one of the lucky ones who’s able to say Life goes on.
I’ve included two videos from Plaza de España in front of City Hall here in town. The first is 5 minutes long and lets you see all the light show. The music is traditionally Christmas. The second video, only 3 minutes, struck me as funny because the song that played was so not Christmas.

LA ÚLTIMA NOCHE PENSÉ EN comprar un árbol artificial alto y estrecho para la terraza y decorarlo para Navidad. Una prueba con los gatos. Al menos no tendrían rienda suelta mientras dormíamos. Un poco tarde en la temporada, pero la Navidad se extiende hasta el Día de los Reyes Magos aquí. Por otra parte, tendría que subirme al coche y no he hecho mucho en varios días. Dado mi deseo de evitar las multitudes, no he estado en Málaga este año para ver las maravillosas luces. Entonces, caminé por Fuengirola una noche la semana pasada y disfruté de las decoraciones de nuestra ciudad. La foto de arriba es del mercado navideño de la Plaza de la Constitución.
Todavía estoy un poco estornudado y atascado para sentirme cómodo haciendo ejercicio en el gimnasio, especialmente en mascarilla. Sin embargo, necesito hacer algo hoy. Quizás una caminata corta. Quizás comprando ese árbol.
Terminé el capítulo 12 de las correcciones semifinales del libro de San Geraldo. Él va a tener una última mirada. Casi ha terminado con su pase (después del mío) en el tercer volumen de pruebas (¿cuartos de final?), Capítulos 13-17. Entonces, estaré ocupado nuevamente.
Los tipos de las cortinas de cristal estuvieron aquí esta mañana para ver qué hay que hacer. Regresarán mañana para volver a cementar toda la brida de aluminio. Se acercaba a lo largo de la mayor parte de su longitud. Cinco años de sol, viento, arena, y sal.
Anoche supe que Inglaterra acortó el tiempo de espera entre la segunda inyección de Astra Zeneca y la inyección de refuerzo, de 6 meses a 3 meses. No he escuchado eso aquí, pero voy a consultar con Salud Pública hoy. De lo contrario, tengo que esperar hasta finales de enero para recibir mi refuerzo, lo que me estresa un poco. Y eso es todo lo que tengo que decir al respecto. Soy al menos uno de los afortunados que puede decir que la vida continúa.
He incluido dos videos de la Plaza de España frente al Ayuntamiento aquí en la ciudad. El primero tiene una duración de 5 minutos y te permite ver todo el espectáculo de luces. La música es tradicionalmente navideña. El segundo video, de solo 3 minutos, me pareció divertido porque la canción que sonaba no era navideña.
