Shortsighted? / ¿Corto de Vista?

WHETHER IT’S ONE-leg-up. Or one-leg-down. Or both-legs-up to look like a diaper (nappy), Fuengirola’s short-pants style is alive and well. And, no, it doesn’t appear to have anything to do with which team one plays for (if you catch my meaning). Click here to see some of last year’s fashions. And, of course, click the images for a closer look.

.

  1. Is it always the left leg that is rolled up? Maybe it is saying something……..remember how guys used to wear kerchiefs in some rear pocket or other to symbolize certain likes/dislikes?
Been in the water yet? Looks inviting!!

Oh, it varies. That blog post from last years has the entire gamut… from right to left.

  2. That fella in the yellow went a little too far going for the “nappy” look 🙂 Nice ass though.

    1. Deedles:
Ha ha! I looked and looked for the fella in the yellow! You should have seen the “fella” I saw today. Out for a walk with her dog. Even more well-rounded, and wearing a black thong bikini!

I sometimes understand tucking them up — for the tan and the heat. But then just wear smaller shorts! As for one leg up and one leg down, I can’t figure it out. And then the diaper look. That’s just sad!

  3. When the shirts are off, my eyes tend to be drawn to that. Some of them look great shirtless, some not so great. And some look better bare-backed then bare-chested.

Um..wait..this was supposed to be about shorts, huh? Sorry.

    1. Kirk:
Although there’s a lot of eye candy around, it can sometimes be very depressing. Ah youth! Well, and even non-youth. Wearing shorts, of course. That IS what we were talking about.

    1. David:
I’ll bet we could make it an official fashion trend. Maybe even get David Beckham to wear a pair along with his socks and sandals.

    1. Adam:
So sorry, Adam. None. I should have thought of you while walking on the paseo today. A woman was out for a stroll with her dog. She, not the dog, was wearing a black thong bikini. I didn’t know where to look. But you would have.

    1. Liberty Belle:
Both legs rolled is probably for tanning, which always makes me wonder why not just wear shorter shorts. But one leg at a time? I haven’t figured that out yet. I’ve wanted to ask someone, but I’m not so sure how that would go.

  4. I am quite over the long trunks look that makes men seem they are wearing skirts but these in the photos are not the answer.

    1. Urspo:
I agree with you about the long trunks. Besides, it’s so much fabric for summer!
