WE NEEDED AN ADDITIONAL WINDOW shade in the hall. We already have two, which we only roll down in summer for when the sun comes around in the afternoon. One of the plants gets burnt to a crisp in the summer sun. I was going to have Mosquito Screen Guy (click here) include that in his work but he thought I was nuts to spend the money with him when I could do it myself so cheaply. We don’t need a high-end shade, just a simple opaque shade to match the standard in the building. I decided to order online from Leroy Merlin (like Home Depot in the US or B&Q in the UK). The shade was €17.99. If I wanted to pay for installation, the price went up to over €82! My thanks to Mosquito Screen Guy. The shade arrived yesterday and San Geraldo will now have to pay me more than €60 (out of one of our joint accounts) to install it.
In other progress, I received a call from Public Health today to change my second AstraZenaca appointment. I’m going in early tomorrow (Friday) morning instead of Sunday. It’s not quite what I was expecting when I read the second vaccine was being moved up a week or two, but I’ll take what I can get. Besides, San Geraldo has cataract surgery Tuesday and this gives me plenty of time (I hope) to recover from any side effects.
.

¿O nada?). Lo encontré en línea. GIOELIA.

• Gioelia’s logo is an interesting bit of art. When I add eyes and change it to brown like the rest of the letters, it looks very similar to the Poop emoji. The ice cream shops, however, look very nice.
What an appetizing *cough* logo! Ya, know, as far as adult diapers go, that one ain’t half bad. If he had a little more bootay, it would look like he was carrying a smelly logo. You go and earn your installation fee, Scoot. I hope it doesn’t require using sharp objects.
Deedles:
A ladder, drill, and screwdriver are involved. I’m in trouble.
How the devil did you get that photo of the mixed/unmatched camo guy against the matching background? Is that you pulling a magic photoshop trick? Now if you could just photoshop diaper boy into regular shorts…
I’d say Picasso hasn’t aged well.
Mary:
I LOVE Photoshop and could play forever. I COULD PhotoShop Diaper Boy into regular shorts… or I could remove the shorts completely.
Trick photography! I need gelato!
Frank:
So many ice cream shops have opened in the past few years. And all high end. Too bad I’m trying to avoid them. They look really good.
LOVE that fisherman’s cottage! oh the possibilites!
Jim:
I agree. I wonder what it’s like inside. I’m pretty sure it opens into a garden or courtyard.
Somehow I suspect the Poop Emoji is NOT the look they are trying to evoke, LOL!
Debra:
It astounds me that no one noticed that.
Good luck to SG on his surgery and you on your second shot – your worlds will be brighter when those are done! Training pants, because they need to be trained in how to wear them.
Wilma:
Shot done. Cataracts soon to be history! Thanks.
Camo and diapers and poo ice cream.
Oh. My.
Bob:
We’ve got it all.
Maybe “Jo-elly-ah” is what one screams on the toilet after eating their ice cream? The ocean mural and butterfly kite are beautiful! I second Mary’s suggestion to photoshop diaper man-boy into regular shorts…
Tundra Bunny:
They’re beautiful ice cream shops. The logo probably should have taken a bit more thought.
Yay!!!!!!! For your vaccine!!!!! I’m sure you will be alright toots. Of course I’m telling you this when we don’t have that one here. I had the Pfizer and didn’t experience one side affect.
Now for that outfit and the diaper….they made me almost as angry as seeing a croc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My eyes now hurt. I shall have a lay down…….
Mistress Maddie:
I had about 18 hours of flu-like symptoms with the first shot. No big deal. I’ll be surprised if I have no reaction to the second. It’s been 5 hours. So far, so good. But the camouflage blends so perfectly with its surroundings that you don’t even see it!
Are you available to put up some things in my house now that you’re a professional installer? Best wishes for the shot.
Love,
Janie
Janie:
As long as you’ll pay me as much as I make here, it’s a deal.
Happy to hear you are getting your second shot. Good thing done. Can SG pay you in chocolate bread or some kind of sweet instead? For that price I would tell him to get some references first. LOL!
Larry:
I supposed I shouldn’t complain. SG already pays me in baked goods and chocolate.
I wonder of Matisse has his own plaza.
Kirk:
Nope. Picasso was from Málaga.
Some days we are just overgrown teenagers
David:
And other days, less mature than that!
I would have guessed an O for the symbol, but I agree it’s confusing — seems like too many vowels, even in another language! Love the whale mural and the “camo” clothing!
Steve:
It’s an easy name in Italian. Doesn’t flow off the tongue with Spanish pronunciation. But they’re going all out here in Fuengirola. I hope they do well despite the name and the poop emoji.
That diaper comment sure put a smile on my face!
mcpersonalspace54:
I’m glad. Stick around. It’s the season for training pants.
Dear me!
As I started to scroll down my emotions were ‘this looks like a diaper. You would think his loved ones would tell him” then I saw your similar comment. hohoho
Ursp:
Working the tanline. But that CAN’T be an improvement.
