No, Dudo is not sneering at me. That’s one of those “uncomfortable whisker” faces, although I didn’t see the whisker get disturbed. Maybe he was sneering. I did take an awful lot of pictures. Come to think of it, maybe those lower whiskers curled onto his paw were annoying him.

The Kid Brother and I are back to seeing each other each week on video chat. It’s so much more relaxing. And he loves seeing the cats and, sometimes, San Geraldo. He’s doing great. Lately he’s been replaying bits from “Welcome Back Kotter,” not one of my favorite TV shows from the 1970s. I especially hate when he makes me do Vinnie Barbarino (John Travolta’s character). But I do as I’m cued.

I just got back from a good long walk. I’ll be out again this afternoon to run some errands which will include a lot of walking, too. I did the same yesterday afternoon. I stopped at the bakery and picked up sugar-free chocolate chip cookies. I picked up unsalted almonds, no sugar added dried cranberries, and no sugar added dried ginger at Casa Simón; and no sugar added protein shakes, and two small Lindt dark chocolate bars — sugar included — at the supermarket.

I’m currently enjoying a protein shake — which was just interrupted to serve the cats wet treat number 3. Dudo reminded me of the time.

  1. I just adore those cat pictures. I love them both and I can only tell them apart because Dudo is so slender, and Moose has more “chub” on him. Which might be why I have a soft spot for my Moose.

And thanks for the beautiful sunrise or sunset picture? Whichever, it’s glorious and made me morning!

    1. Mistress Borghese:
Other than weight, they really do look very different. Dudo has more white all over than Moose, a bigger white band between the eyes, AND Moose is wearing a black mask whereas Dudo wear eyeliner below his eyes. Our niece calls him Kate Moss.

    1. Debra:
They get so annoyed when I take pictures while they’re trying to sleep. They now get FIVE treats a day.

  2. Dudo looks like he was just woken up after a long sleep. Just curious……are the cats bi-lingual?
    Great sunset photo!
Happy times with KB…..makes me smile.

  3. So glad you’re feeling well enough to get back to your regular routines.

My European vacation was a bust. I got Covid in Italy and had to cut it short by a week.

    That sunset is spectacular!

  4. Dudo is sneering and I am here for it. Love an expressive face,
Down the way Moose is giving me, “Wat?” vibes.
Lastly, Dudo’s face says he is not happy about that man’s outfit.

    1. Raybeard:
I always think of you when I share a bunch of photos of the cats. They make me so happy.

  5. Ha! The cat sneers crack me up!

I love the sunsets on the Costa… Jx

PS Whatever “Welcome Back Kotter” was like, we never got it in the UK.

  6. Olga makes the “crooked face” sometimes. We tease her about it.

I remember “Welcome Back Kotter” from my elementary and middle school years. I never understood the appeal!

    1. Steve:
I liked some of the gimmicks, like the letters from Epstein’s Mother. But I only saw it all the time because of my brother. I had a friend who was a new teacher at the time who was constantly quoting from it. He really shouldn’t have.

    1. mcpersonalspace54:
I watched the show because of my brother… and was forced to memorize the routines.

      1. mcpersonalspace54:
Thanks. He was always my responsibility on some level. I now own that responsibility gladly.

  7. Maybe Dudo was just channeling Elvis for a moment? In any event, Dudo & Moose are just so damn photogenic — and they KNOW it!
