No, Dudo is not sneering at me. That’s one of those “uncomfortable whisker” faces, although I didn’t see the whisker get disturbed. Maybe he was sneering. I did take an awful lot of pictures. Come to think of it, maybe those lower whiskers curled onto his paw were annoying him.
The Kid Brother and I are back to seeing each other each week on video chat. It’s so much more relaxing. And he loves seeing the cats and, sometimes, San Geraldo. He’s doing great. Lately he’s been replaying bits from “Welcome Back Kotter,” not one of my favorite TV shows from the 1970s. I especially hate when he makes me do Vinnie Barbarino (John Travolta’s character). But I do as I’m cued.
I just got back from a good long walk. I’ll be out again this afternoon to run some errands which will include a lot of walking, too. I did the same yesterday afternoon. I stopped at the bakery and picked up sugar-free chocolate chip cookies. I picked up unsalted almonds, no sugar added dried cranberries, and no sugar added dried ginger at Casa Simón; and no sugar added protein shakes, and two small Lindt dark chocolate bars — sugar included — at the supermarket.
I’m currently enjoying a protein shake — which was just interrupted to serve the cats wet treat number 3. Dudo reminded me of the time.

I just adore those cat pictures. I love them both and I can only tell them apart because Dudo is so slender, and Moose has more “chub” on him. Which might be why I have a soft spot for my Moose.
And thanks for the beautiful sunrise or sunset picture? Whichever, it’s glorious and made me morning!
Mistress Borghese:
Other than weight, they really do look very different. Dudo has more white all over than Moose, a bigger white band between the eyes, AND Moose is wearing a black mask whereas Dudo wear eyeliner below his eyes. Our niece calls him Kate Moss.
Mistress Borghese: Oops. That was a sunset. Sunrise here is over the Mediterranean Sea.
Oh, I think Dudo is sneering. And Moose is kind of giving you a baleful glare, too. You must be getting lax in the treats department.
Debra:
They get so annoyed when I take pictures while they’re trying to sleep. They now get FIVE treats a day.
Dudo looks like he was just woken up after a long sleep. Just curious……are the cats bi-lingual?
Great sunset photo!
Happy times with KB…..makes me smile.
Jim:
The cats ARE bilingual. They don’t listen to us in two languages.
So glad you’re feeling well enough to get back to your regular routines.
My European vacation was a bust. I got Covid in Italy and had to cut it short by a week.
That sunset is spectacular!
Carole:
So sorry about the Covid. What a shame.
Dudo is sneering and I am here for it. Love an expressive face,
Down the way Moose is giving me, “Wat?” vibes.
Lastly, Dudo’s face says he is not happy about that man’s outfit.
Bob:
Dudo has very refined taste. You can tell by the way he makes up his eyes.
So many endearing D & M pics. My ‘blogpals’ file is filling up fast.
Raybeard:
I always think of you when I share a bunch of photos of the cats. They make me so happy.
How do you reenact Vinnie? Do you strut around saying “Up your nose with a rubber hose?”
Shirley:
Fortunately, The Kid Brother just likes me to say “What? Where? Why? What?”
Ha! The cat sneers crack me up!
I love the sunsets on the Costa… Jx
PS Whatever “Welcome Back Kotter” was like, we never got it in the UK.
Jon:
Check out Welcome Back Kotter on YouTube. You won’t thank me for it.
Olga makes the “crooked face” sometimes. We tease her about it.
I remember “Welcome Back Kotter” from my elementary and middle school years. I never understood the appeal!
Steve:
I liked some of the gimmicks, like the letters from Epstein’s Mother. But I only saw it all the time because of my brother. I had a friend who was a new teacher at the time who was constantly quoting from it. He really shouldn’t have.
Improve at it’s finest
David:
Chuck and I should put together an act.
That sunset photo is amazing! I never watched “Welcome Back Kotter”, so I only know that John Travolta was in it!
mcpersonalspace54:
I watched the show because of my brother… and was forced to memorize the routines.
You are a good brother.
mcpersonalspace54:
Thanks. He was always my responsibility on some level. I now own that responsibility gladly.
Oh those crazy cats! What would we do without them?
Urspo:
I’ve run out of answers for this question.
oh just make something up why donthca
Maybe Dudo was just channeling Elvis for a moment? In any event, Dudo & Moose are just so damn photogenic — and they KNOW it!
Tundra Bunny:
You should hear Dudo sing!
If Dudo’s any good, you could market him on YouTube as Elvis Purrresley!
Tundra Bunny:
I would but the little shit won’t sing on command.
Would you have preferred Fonzie on Happy Days?
Kirk:
Oh, dear god! I haven’t had to do THAT for a while.
Very impressive, Mista Kottah.
Walt the Fourth:
“Oooh! Oooh!”
