I GOT CAUGHT in the rain during my walk on the beach today. I could see the dark clouds over the mountains start to circle toward the coast, but I couldn’t convince myself to rush. I was too content. Later in the day, a rainbow.
I phoned the Kid Brother for his birthday. Per his Sunday instructions, I phoned “earlier.” Our Sunday FaceTime call is at 11 in the morning his time. I called at 9:40 so San Geraldo and I could both sing to him. His roommate said, “He stepped out.” So, I phoned again at 10. No answer. 10:20. No answer. 10:45. No answer. 11:15. “You’re kinda late,” he said. But I sang to him anyway. Like I said yesterday, “Oh, brother!”
FUI ATRAPADO EN la lluvia durante mi paseo por la playa hoy. Pude ver que las nubes oscuras sobre las montañas comenzaron a rodear la costa, pero no pude convencerme de apresurarme. Estaba demasiado contento. Más tarde en el día, un arcoiris.
