We Had It Coming / Lo Merecíamos
La versión español está después de la versión inglés.
IT WAS OUR third annual Halloween dinner at Mesón Salvador, so, yeah, we knew what to expect. We knew the place would be festive (and macabre) and we knew the food would be creative, beautiful, unusual, and dangerously delicious. Still, our wonderful family here in Los Boliches had some surprises up their tattoo sleeves.
From Brooklyn, New York; to North Massapequa; back to Brooklyn; Brockport, New York; back to Brooklyn... To Boston, Massachusetts, where I met Jerry... To Marina del Rey, California; Washington, DC; New Haven and Guilford, Connecticut; San Diego, San Francisco, Palm Springs, and Santa Barbara, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Irvine, California; Sevilla, Spain. And Fuengirola, Málaga..

They had sound effects and a huge spider that dropped from the ceiling (at the push of a button). They had a good time planning.
They’ve made me look forward to Halloween… and costumes.
Wow, they went all out! Yes, Mr Pumpkin, I can see why you were sweating in fear all night!
(Loved that Broadway Backwards video of Cell Block Tango, LOL!)
Broadway Backwards! This and Big Spender are two of my favorites.
Yikes! I missed a few posts, Mitchell! What a delight to scroll back this blustery autumn Saturday morning. I LOVE the new bedroom look… those pillows are gorgeous (we have a Klimt 3X5 area rug that looks to be from the same frieze that one of your pillows is). And, this is some craaaaazy Halloween doings!
The Klimt-inspired pillows are kits from Ehrmann Tapestries. Jerry began his third one during our first year in Spain but hasn’t worked on it since.
The scary staff served up some delicious goodies. Great night!
So much fun. And so much work for them. I don’t know how they managed to get up for work today he next day.
Such a cute bunch of prisoners.
They sure are.
I probably should have stuffed the pumpkin suit as I had intended, but I figured I’d be too hot.
Maybe he spared your life because you’re both wearing the same color.
I think I’m just too lean … as pumpkins go. Besides, he calls me “my love.”
